Massachusetts divorce lawyer Carmela M. Miraglia introduces the Lynch & Owens Massachusetts Divorce Series.

I am a family law attorney at Lynch & Owens in Hingham, Massachusetts. I am pleased to present the first installment of the Lynch & Owens Massachusetts Divorce Series. Please check back frequently, or visit our the main series page, for additional installments of the Lynch & Owens Divorce Series.

Divorce, under the best of circumstances, can be a stressful and confusing process. As one of my clients aptly put it “I feel like an ant under a giant.” Naturally, part of the stress and fear comes from the emotional turmoil that often accompanies the ending of a marriage and breaking apart of a family.

Getting Divorced: Complexity and Anxiety

In addition to the emotional turmoil spouses feel during a divorce, the parties are faced with a daunting legal landscape riddled with procedures and precedents that are often unknown to them. It is my hope, as an attorney who strives to comfort my clients while advocating for them, that by informing them not only of their rights but also of the expectations with the system, that I can alleviate some of that stress and fear. This series, too, will offer some relief from the confusion that can often times seem crippling.

The Massachusetts Divorce Series: A Step-by-Step Review of the Divorce Process

The Divorce Series will focus on the typical procedures and processes that are involved with the dissolution of a marriage in Massachusetts. The series will include posts organized by issues that often arise during the divorce process and will be published over the coming months.
