About Attorney Miraglia

Attorney Miraglia joined Lynch & Owens after a prolonged recruitment period. With two decades of family law experience – and a reputation for excellence across Cape Cod and the South Shore – it was not easy persuading her to leave her successful family law practice with offices in Plymouth and Barnstable. Our persistence paid off, however, and Lynch & Owens is proud to make the unique talents of Attorney Miraglia available to our clients.

Most family law attorneys are legal generalists. A typical divorce case might involve elements of criminal law (e.g. domestic violence), real estate law (e.g. sale and valuation of marital property), business law (e.g. self-employment income and business assets) and appellate law (e.g. if an appeal is filed). However, few divorce attorneys have specialized experience in all or most of these legal fields. Attorney Miraglia is different. While focusing primarily on domestic relations practice over the last two decades, Attorney Miraglia also amassed significant professional experience in criminal, real estate, labor, business and appellate law. Attorney Miraglia’s diverse legal experience – across multiple areas of law – is part of what gives her advantage over many of her peers in the family law bar.

Attorney Miraglia is recognized as a domestic relations leader across the South Shore. She’s an experienced Guardian ad Litem, ARC attorney, and mediator, and she was a long-time member of the Executive Committee of the Barnstable County Bar Association. With this talent and experience, she brings boundless energy and enthusiasm for the practice of family law to the clients of Lynch & Owens.

Attorney Miraglia draws on a deep pool of expertise in her family law practice. Her experience includes:

  • Criminal defense and civil litigation in the District and Superior Courts
  • Guardianships and DCF proceedings in the Juvenile Court
  • Collections and landlord/tenant litigation in the Housing Court
  • Administrative hearings before the Social Security Administration, Department of Industrial Accidents and Bankruptcy Court
  • Representing banks, buyers and sellers in hundreds of real estate transactions
  • Estate planning
  • Appearing before the Massachusetts Appeals Court

Attorney Miraglia has trial experience and has settled cases at virtually every level of the Massachusetts courts system. Her style as a family law attorney mixes compassion with advocacy.

Descriptions include:

  • Impeccable integrity.
  • Compassion for clients.
  • A tough and resolute fighter, when called upon.
  • A skilled negotiator with a mediator’s eye for settlement.
  • A source of clarity and direction for clients in times of personal turmoil.
  • An advocate for children, as a GAL and ARC attorney.

Clients describe Attorney Miraglia’s explanations as clear and concise, helping clients to understand the legal process and make well-informed decisions that will directly affect their future.

She started her career as a litigator in Dorchester, MA, where she earned a reputation for toughness in the Boston District Courts and Suffolk Probate and Family Court of the 1990’s. From 2002 to 2009, she served as counsel at two of Cape Cod’s top law firms, Wilkens and DeYoung and Glynn Law Offices, where she honed her skills in family and real estate law. Before joining Lynch & Owens, Attorney Miraglia led successful domestic relations offices in Plymouth and Barnstable, representing clients across Cape Cod and South Shore in divorce and family law matters.

Attorney Miraglia volunteers through the ARC (Attorneys Representing Children) program as court-appointed counsel for children who need representation in custody cases. She has served as a Guardian Ad Litem (GAL) for Plymouth, Bristol, Barnstable and Dukes counties. As a result of her work with pro bono programs, Attorney Miraglia has been awarded the First Justices’ Award for Pro Bono Publico Excellence for the past four years.
